There were over 100 people on the trip and the hotels in this town were old houses. Most of the houses were over
100 years old. My roommate and I got put on the top floor of a house, which used to be the storage area. The first day we
arrived and went into the room. I joked to my roomy that the room was kinda creepy because I knew he didn't believe in the
supernatural.
We left and then came back later that night and decided to call it a night. There was no TV and only one bed in the
room so we had to sleep together. He was asleep for about 30 minutes or so and I was bored gutta my mind cause there was no
TV and it was dark so I couldn't even read.
As I lay there trying to force myself to fall asleep I started to hear something. It sounded like someone was whispering
outside of the door. It was very odd because it was around 2am and I thought everyone was asleep. The whispering then began
to get louder and then entered the room. It was then at the foot of the bed but there was nobody there. I looked at my friend
and he was still sleeping.
I was sure to stay as still as I could so I could try and figure out what was going on. I thought I was dreaming, but then
I looked over at my friend and his eyes shot open and he said "What the "F" is that?" We both stopped talking and heard the
whispering get closer and closer. It eventually came so close it was almost directly above us. Then it slowly went back and
out the door and we then heard what sounded like a little child laugh in the hallway. At that point we both got up, turned
on all the lights and checked the hallway in a matter of seconds. There was nobody around.
We slept with the lights on the rest of that night. We decided not to tell anyone about what happened because we were afraid
people wouldn't believe us. The next night my friend and I decided to get wasted so that we would pass out before anything
like that could happen again. We were right, as far as I can remember nothing happened that night.
The next morning we had to get up early because we had a concert that afternoon. My friend got up way before me because
I was hung over. He woke me up and said he was headed down for breakfast and that I should hurry up because everyone was down
there already. So I got up and hopped in the shower. I was in the shower for only a few minutes when the shower head slammed
all the way down on its own. I of course shut off the shower and got out as fast as I could. Within a minute or so I composed
myself and was convinced that it was nothing.
I began to get dressed and sat on the bed to put my socks on. As I did that I noticed the handle on the door moved up and
down as if someone was trying to get in. So I got up to see who it was, looked outside and there was nobody there. After relocking
the door I sat back down and then the door handle moved up and down three times in a row. I got up again and there was nobody
there. At that point I got dressed as fast as I could and ran down to breakfast.
I did not say a word the whole time I was eating. After breakfast two girls who my roomy and I were friends with
asked us to go to their room for a second. Their room was directly below ours. They asked us if we have been having problems
with our lights and we of course said no.
They then told us that their lights have been turning on and off by themselves the past 2 days and nights and it was beginning
to scare them. We then told them what happened to us. Needless to say all four of us were very grateful to leave that little
town.
Oh and my roommate who didn't believe in the supernatural is now a little more open minded about things like that.
