I've witnessed two events, my girlfriend has witnessed three, and I have heard of her other roomates talking
about five other seperate events. My girlfriend has only been in the house two weeks and that's how common
it is. They usually happen when your the only one in the house, or if your alone in one room. One roommate told me of a time
when she was in bed and she heard what sounded like children laughing coming from the kitchen, sounds of walking around, and
the sounds of cupboards/drawers opening and closing.
I've had an experience where I was in the living room and my girlfriend was in her room, I got up of the sofa
to walk to her room and as soon as I stood up there was two distinct knocks coming directly below my feet on the
hardwood floor. I could feel through my sandles.
The rumors around here about why the house is haunted are pretty farfetched but some people say since the house is so old
it used to be an old cotton plantation house with cotton machines in the basement back in the slave days. People have said five
black men where hung in the basement. I know it sounds far fetched but you get the worst feeling in the world when you
go down there.
Well, tonite three of us went into the basement because we were taking pictures throughout the house just to see if
anything would show up in them. When we went into the basement there is actually another door which leads too a room with
a small bed (really scary), well we definetly wanted to take a picture of that room. Funny thing is, the camera would not
function when trying to take a picture of that room. We moved the camera away and it would take a picture just fine, we tried
like 7 times to take a picture of the room and the camera would just make a weird buzzing noise without taking the picture,
so I closed the door and this girl tried taking the picture again, and the camera worked fine. That was when we decided
to leave.
