  According to Tom Lethbridge,* anyone can use the pendulum to dowse. Tom Lethbridge was a trained archaeologist and historian.
  He was also Keeper of Anglo-Saxon Antiquities at the University Museum, at Cambridge. In 1957, he and his wife Mina, moved into Hole House, an old Tudor mansion on the south coast of Devon.
  He had encountered dowsing while an archeologist. It was during his retirement that he conducted extensive research into the how's, and why's of dowsing.
